Our primary focus in taking care of our infants is love and nurturing.  Trained caregivers who love babies will encourage your infant's emotional and physical development by holding them, talking to them, singing, smiling, reading, and playing.  The colorful, soft, and safe environment of the nursery fosters the concerns, therefore only appropriate toys, materials, and equipment is used and sanitized daily.  We accomodate the rapid changes and demands of the babies first year and build confidence into their transition to the toddler age.  Every day you will receive a log of your child's eating, sleeping, diapering, and learning activities. 

Our toddlers are changing so much.  They start to develop routines/schedules, more as a group.  They continue to develop their large and fine motor skills, as well as their communication with other children and adults.  Sensory activities, stories, music/moviement, pretend play, building, and other exploratory experiences are important at this age.  Toddlers also are socializing more, so fostering positive interactions with others, while gaining confidence in themselves is important.

The two & three year olds’ program is designed to help the child develop concepts and language skills necessary for future learning through listening to stories, retelling events, and dramatic play with puppets, music, and movement. A variety of play and art materials give the children a chance to explore. Building with blocks, painting, collage, murals, and constructing with different materials develop the child’s small motor and problem solving skills, and enhance their sense of creativity and self-expression. 

The three and four year olds' program is designed to help prepare the child for preschool/4K.  This is done with a wide variety of activities centered around art, music, literacy, math, science, socialization/cooperation, large motor, and fine motor activities.  Promoting creativity, independence, and a general love for learning is important.

The Preschool program compliments the Waunakee School District 4K program.  The Adventures in Learning preschool program includes curriculum meant for kids age four to five and covers areas such as literacy, math, science, art, music and Spanish. Helping children learn positive social skills, as well as a positive self-concept is also a priority.

The 4K program is coordinated by the Waunakee Community School District and Adventures in Learning.  4K is a 5-day a week program that lasts for 2 1/2 hours.  The curriculum used is Creative Curriculum, which is play-based preparation for Kindergarten. The 4K Program emphasizes fine and gross motor skills, socialization and self-discovery. The curriculum eases chldren into the wonderful world of learning through play and other activities.  Adding experiences in literacy, math, science, art, and music compliment this program.

The School Age program is for chldren who need after-school care.  The program also is a full day program when Waunakee Schools are not in session.  Our school agers are offered many activities in the areas of large motor, art, cooperative games, and field trip experiences.
